Jay McGuiness

Perhaps best known for his time achieving global, chart-topping success with The Wanted, Jay McGuiness is a singer, dancer, actor, activist and most recently, an author.

Since his time with the band, Jay has won Channel 4’s ‘The Hunted’, won the 13th series of the BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and appeared on the stage in shows like ‘Rip it Up’, ‘Big, The Musical’ and ‘Sleepless’. Later this year, he is appearing in Irving Berlin’s ‘White Christmas’.

Jay regularly finds himself forced to take a stand for what he believes in, both online and in real life, and is an ardent campaigner against inequality. He is passionate about giving a voice to those who don’t get heard, and a vocal supporter of social justice.

His first book, Blood Flowers, a work of YA fantasy fiction was published by Scholastic in 2024, meeting with great acclaim. Jay is currently working on his second book.
